I received a FOURTH bit of mail for pennsylvania after posting this but it essentially remixed the previous one, with the ballot request, so it isn’t worth showing a picture of but it reminds me that this america pac has lost loads of money by paying employees who don’t care and thus are doing their “job” as shoddily and quickly as possible. The article is about that affecting “swing states” but even in the states that don’t really matter they are doing it and doing it unwell.

this feels somewhat redundant given my last horde of snake comic strips, and maybe it isn’t fair either since idiotic political sentiment is largely manufactured at or near the top and directed downward with the intent of setting common folk against each other instead of recognizing what their actual problems are. However I also encounter more of this than ever before, dumber and more aggressive than ever before, and do not know what productive I really can do about it, hence perpetual gripage. This is the last such thing I have, however. for now.
Although I encountered that WPWW “white pride world wide” symbol on a school bus back when I was tennish years old, the kid who wrote it probably still believes in that and no longer considers it such a fringe viewpoint that it needs to be secretly scribbled in places where hardly anyone will see it.
this is on the same street where my home is. Not in Texas or Florida, but Connecticut. I do not know if “you can’t fix stupid” is official campaign signage or something that the erector purchased, but either way it is screwed up and the fact that I cannot tell if this isn’t official signage, because Trump’s official platform is abuse, and that APPEALS to or fails to alarm a significant portion of the populace, is even more screwed up.
the message is a bit more coherent from this angle, but just as likely to do any good.
I cannot fathom somebody scanning this on purpose.
That was two weeks ago, as I am writing this. More recently, on October 14,
I have had difficulty believing Rob Bresnahan will put Pennsylvania workers first
when this message is being directed at Connecticut [or current] residents
less than a week later, october 20:
there has been some unorthodox campaigning this season but reverse psychology is a new one to me. i alone have the power to keep trump from being elected merely by not voting.
This is printed on the reverse side, with stuff to fill out between them. Perhaps not terribly surprising the Trump mail also believes unregistered Pennsylvania voters are hiding out under pseudonyms at my home in Connecticut.
This is sent from “america pac” which Elon Frippindrippin Musk paid for, but the other one is from “congressional leadership fund” so the information placing Clinton Connecticut inside Pennsylvania was wrong prior to that particular wealthy creepadoodle’s gang getting involved.
October 24, yet more Pennsylvania mail. All this fuss about democrats conspiring to commit voter fraud, but I have never had them asking me to vote for them from out of state.
On DAY ONE Rob Bresnahan is going to drive 31 hours (33 if he goes the scenic route) to Mexico- officially it will be day two by the time he gets there but regardless he will personally duct tape The Border shut. Assuming he doesn’t mean Canada, or even New Jersey; no border was specified
for a bit of variety, my sister, also in Connecticut, has been urged to vote for Chad “Yes my name is really” Bobo in Tennessee.
and goop gorpity don’t ever say The Media only covers embarrassing stories about republicans. Maybe they don’t even think this is embarrassing.
I don’t understand the significance of being a “music fan.” I think there are very few people who outwardly HATE music, just in general. Obama just happens to be a name-dropping and hob-nobbing fan. This is the same kind of garbage that preceded the 2016 election. All the socially correct celebrities palled around together and talked about shattering the “glass ceiling” with the first woman president and then an old rapist white guy got elected instead. wealthy leftwing hubris right before an election puts off undecided voters. I don’t understand why wealthy rightwing hubris the other 90% of the time appeals to them but I don’t know how somebody can possibly be “undecided” about Trump in 2024 either and that is just the bag of doughnuts we have been dealt. I suppose the idea is to reach the thoroughly decided but apathetic potential voters, but that’s still depressing, that the election depends on fickle idiots either way. Is it because of the fickle idiot candidates or the reason we get them?
I prefer Harris to Trump, but it doesn’t fill me with euphoria to think about –neither of them is going to stand up to Benny Netanyahu– or an urge to smugly toss out “better luck next time, righties” sort of statements. I want the entire abusive oafy system of attitudes to lose this election, and I had that sentiment even before a few kiwisharecroppers had a bone to pick with me.
Of course if casual voters think their “side” has already lost then they won’t bother, but if they think it’s a done deal months before and all the celebrity television pushes this story they also won’t vote, but those who RESENT that will, which is why Hillary Clinton didn’t win.
Barack Obama also had that sort of mega media push but he went against Mitten Romney and party-poisoned John McCain, who were still running conventional campaigns which hadn’t figured out how to tap into the nihilistic mutant memester demographic. Sarah Palin had a Trumpesque snark to clue ratio but fundamentally didn’t want poor people and immigrants to die hard enough. She was too busy making sure animals were dead.
a number of these headlines specifically name stephen colbert, which isn’t anything new but it still bothers me since I remember a time when I thought he was the most progressive, anti-complacency figure on television. But that was a “character,” I suppose. the “real” one easily drifts into pandery smirky shill mode, which is exactly how terrible right wing comedians operate, and it reinforces the concept of “both sides” and “they’re just as bad!” like elections are a game that it doesn’t matter who wins. Even in a contest of low standards vs no standards the outcome very much matters. And that was from July!
in october he met and product placed with Harris on television and I was too numb to even bother taking a proper screenshot of the news headline for some reason telling me that this occurred. I have momentarily regained sensation in my indignation but not I am annoyed that the guardian’s built in search box just forwards to fricken google which I have a largely unrelated gripe pile about. I have plenty of resentment but perhaps not the time and energy to finish both of these, but at least the president we almost sort of get a choice about. Nobody has to vote for google for it to be in charge of our wrongs and our rights.

Reminds me of how someone mailed in a drawing of Nazi Sonic gunning down Mario to some 90s gaming magazine and they somehow thought it was acceptable to run
on a different note, why does everybody imagine sonic as a secret bigot? I mean it only happened twice (as far as I know) but that’s 2 more times than I would expect.
Frimpinheap sez:
I do not remember the exact inspiration, maybe because sonic’s overstylized spines fit the shape of a klan hood, but the name also lends itself well to changing the description, whereas mario is a regular person name.
I have not see anyone else’s similar picture, but considering the age and visibility of the character numerous variations over time do not surprise me.
