because I do not manage my time at all well lately, spending too much of the past week drawing and adjusting bells on the subject of the past week’s website post, and have yet to conclude that task, here from several weeks before then is
a robision drawing for a person called Kynikos of a creature also named Kynikos[s] who seeks the attention of fish in an unorthodox manner while wearing a strange hat. Kynikos has also helped me to locate several more archive pages whose formatting had gone totally screwy once entries on them migrated from the main page, which is evidently less pedantic about unclosed < center > tags, and I was able to correct that formatting. I cannot verify that they were also hiding in a puddle or required a special hat to find, but that would explain how I missed them until now. Few of my hats are special.
I seem to have neglected to state that “the wizard of squawk” from several weeks ago was also a robisioned piece! I have now added text to explain that, but I felt it prudent to explain that I failed to explain that. In fact I initially failed to explain it altogether; I only remembered to add an additional comment that was meant to follow the bit that I forgot wasn’t there yet. But now it is.
RSS feed for comments, for they hunger.
This here`s me trackback!

The dragon creature looks a little slashed in places like the tail. Is it raining water or needles?
If it is needles then that explains the turtle shell hat. Perhaps the needles are used in space fish warfare, makes sense then the dragon would use a fishing rod against the alien fishes, after all it is their weakness.

I’m quite slashed in lots of places over the years, it’s a long story to get into really!
The whole silly idea I wanted in this robision is just a reference to what I have been doing the past several months on/off, trying to find all the fish in the FPS game “Cruelty Squad”.
Fishing in that game doesn’t care what a body of water is, only that it is a body of water. You can cast the line into the most amusingly small of holes and a fish will snag the line and be caught. (Hence why I’m fishing out of such a amusingly small hole in the robision)
The stupid yellow hat is special in that anytime you equip it, not only does it cause additional types of fish to be caught, increasing the time you must react to a catch before it is lost; It forcefully causes the mission to take place during a thunderstorm, reducing visibility significantly, and replacing the background music with a more peaceful, sullen tune. The colours in the game are also slightly muted too from the hats effect.
I recently ended up discovering that your actual system clock affects the game (and the fishing ingame) as well, there are some fish that can only be encountered when it’s nighttime for example. The ingame “time of day” within missions is chosen based on what time it is on your actual system clock.
I’m quite grateful how well the robision turned out, it’s exactly the kind of style to covey how silly this situation is!

Oh it didn’t strike me as a reference to Cruelty Squad.
Perhaps I didn’t give the fishing part of that game enough of a chance but I did hear lotz of individuals talk about it.
I must say if I was a hitman in a vomit world I think I too would pick up fishing as a hobby! Which is why I did.

The fishing minigame (if you can call it such) is honestly kind of the same thing as trying to catch all the Pokémon in Pokémon, each fish has it’s own description that is only revealed once you catch the fish in question at least once. They also will show up in that giant water filled glass cube in Cruelty Squad HQ’s “lounge” area, as that is the so called “fish tank”.
When you start acquiring all the fish that fish tank starts looking quite whimsical and crowded: https://i.imgur.com/FfyTYLR.png
The meaningful bonus to fishing in this game; is that, depending on how the in-game stock market is, you can augment your cash on hand by selling off dozens of a particular fish and beable to unlock more augmentations that way. The profit you can make on selling fish holdings generally out-weighs the cash you’re given on mission completion, even if you’re playing on “PUNISHMENT” mode and finish a mission fast enough to be given S-Rank on it.
Oh, and this isn’t the first time I’ve referenced a video game when commissioning artists. My avatar on various internet forums and websites is based on a background menu graphic from the original X-COM: UFO Defence, as in the 90’s MS-DOS game.
Boy, I sure do unfortunately talk a tad too much!
