several page bits of this
the comic strip prologue sketched in 2016 i finally took the effort to sort out and place in the actual comic strip section
there are probably yet details to be cleared up on it. Do let me know if anything seems particularly objectionable and I will be sure to leave it unchanged.

Excellent stuff! It’s a surprise to see Lope taking on biv’s confident persona without the assistance of Hat, but I may have forgotten about the specifics of that particular quirk.
Did you ever decide on how to transition between this prologue and the former first page, or did you decide that it’s fine the way it is now?

thank you for looking! i never explained precisely how lope’s personality changes work, but there may be more to this sequence than is apparent right now, and later pages will clear it up. Or knowing me, maybe they will just deepen the confusion.
i decided that the bow tie fool’s starry disorientation and treco’s followup line were adequate for the transition, although having the title page suddenly appear may ruin that.

It’s not totally obvious if Lope is wearing a hat in the first page or not, but I’d put my chips on the former.
